Cyber Monday is the ecommerce term used for the Monday following the Thanksgiving weekend in the United States. While physical retail outlets run huge promotions on Black Friday, it is the online stores that offer discounts, price drops, and other special offers on Cyber Monday. It is the 2nd biggest shopping day and the biggest online sales day in the U.S. The term was crafted by Shop.org, the online wing of the National Retail Federation. Though Cyber Monday originated in the U.S it has gained immense popularity in many other countries.
