What is the Dubai Marathon?
Started in 1998, the Dubai Marathon is an annual road marathon, hosted by Dubai. The course starts from Umm Suqeim and ends a few hundred meters southeast.
It is the largest mass participation event held in the Middle East and was held to attract top-class runners from around the world. It is categorized as a Gold Label Race by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) and is in the same category as the Boston Marathon, London Marathon, and New York City Marathon.
It is always held in the first week of January but due to covid outbreak, there have been certain changes. It will be held on 12th February 2023.
