What is International Disability Day?
It is celebrated all across the world on 3rd December. The day is celebrated to uplift, honour, promote and recognize the rights of people with disabilities. It is all about equal opportunities for people with disabilities and creating awareness about the same. Approximately about 1 billion people are living with disabilities currently and we need to develop an inclusive culture for them and change the way we perceive and see people with disabilities.
Every year the World Health Organisation (WHO) decides on a theme and promotes it through posters, flyers, and social media to create awareness about this day.
