Step 1: Open DelightChat
Open WhatsApp Marketing > Automations in the app and select the automation from the list.
Step 2: Configure Message Sending Delay
The minimum time to send the order confirmation message is 1 minute.
Step 3: Select Message Template
With DelightChat, you can create WhatsApp message templates according to your requirements, and if they get approved, you can use them anywhere such as the WhatsApp Order Fulfilment automation.
Our app also auto-applies default message templates for all our customers, so that you are ready to go as soon as you are live on DelightChat.
In this example, we have configured the 'Order Fulfilment with CTA Upsell' default template. It's a simple way to inform customers of their tracking number, tracking link and sharing a discount for their next purchase.
In this template, we can configure
- Customer's Name to personalise the message
- Tracking number
- Upsell the customer with an automatic discount code in % (you can manually enter a coupon too)
- A CTA button that sends your customer to the Order Tracking URL
An additional option available in Order Tracking template is to decide which URL to set for the CTA button.
You can set either the Order Tracking URL, picked up from your Shopify order fulfilment data. Alternatively, you can choose to send the Order Status URL.
Step 4: Enable WhatsApp Order Fulfilment Automation
When you're done configuring this automation, just select the Enable toggle and click the [Save] button.

Sending order confirmation messages is fine. You would also want to see if there's any ROI to sending these messages.
